Brown v. Illinois, No. 73-6650 (U.S. Supreme Court) (422 U.S. 590; 95 S.Ct. 2254) (June 26, 1975) (Justice Blackmun)

Here the Court held that it is not enough for the Government to show that a confession was voluntary under the Fifth Amendment; it must also show that the statement was not obtained by exploitation of any Fourth Amendment violation.
